Arthur is a wonderful tutor who helped my son increase his SAT scores by over 200 points. He provided targeted assistance, where he identified weaknesses and improved in that particular area on the SAT tests. We found Art Clay and Cornerstone through Google, so wanted to make sure we came back here to say thank you for everyone that posted earlier! We've been going to Art now for nearly two months for Physics and Testing Skills. He is always phenomenally prepared for each session and very engaging in his teaching method. We have seen our child grow in self-confidence and find a liking towards Physics that was not there before. My daughter had tremendous potential to do well on the SAT, but she was missing an external push that would allow her to reach her goal. I wasn't sure at first if my son needed a better score on his SAT's. He told me he wanted to also take the ACT's and I contacted Art. I live in NY state so he suggested Skype calls and worked with my oldest son. He explained how to analyze the questions they were asking and what to concentrate on that would be more important. Huge success. He got into every school he applied to but for me the best part was his acceptance into the Honors College giving him over $8000/yr more in financial aid. He now attends Washington & Lee Law School. When it was time for my second son to take the test I got Art into the picture right from the start. He helped show how to study and he was accepted to West Virginia's Engineering program in the Honors College receiving over $12,000/yr in aid. He now works as an Aerospace Mechanical Engineer. My daughter was next. She was looking to play college sports having had two state championships in High School. Art helped her get into schools using her academic success along with athletics. So many schools wanted her to play ball for them but told her you must first get into the school. She was successful getting into all her choices. You only get one chance to use your scores so the higher the score the better the choices. I saved more money in tuition then the Prep cost me by far. I would highly recommend Art and his tutoring style.

Art is a great teacher. He has worked with my daughter on ISEE /SSAT prep and math tutoring. Art took a customized approach working with her. He thoughtfully identified her strengths and weaknesses and taught her key concepts and strategies needed to be a successful test taker. He is a clear communicator and demystified the whole approach to standardized testing. After working with Art and scoring well, she was ultimately accepted to all four high schools she applied to. We returned to Art recently to tutor her in math. She was taking an extra credit online course and struggling with some pre-calculus concepts. Art designed his lessons to follow the progression of the class curriculum, to supplement her instruction. She really enjoyed their sessions as she left feeling more confident about the complex topics. We will definitely return for SAT prep in the future.

We heard of Cornerstone test prep from a friend. They had recently had their son get accepted to Cornell and were delighted with their sons test scores. I can see now why they were so enthusiastic about it. From the moment Arthur spoke to my daughter he had her buy in! What’s more with all of his help she not only gained 300 points on her SAT she gained to much more confidence with the whole college process!!
